The design of the cabins and glamping tents aims to ensure that you are rested in the morning and ready for the day’s nature experiences. High-quality beds, Finnish textiles and a quiet environment offer good sleep. Our sauna warms up the guests in turn, right next to Sydänlampi. You can also inquire about the possibility of a morning sauna!
Common cabin has a microwave, a kettle and a fridge are for all guests to use. We offer fresh water, instant coffee, tea and sugar. You can order snack packages or buy small treats to the common cabin. There is an outdoor fireplace in the area, where you can grill or make pan coffee by the fire.

Naava (Beard Moss)
Naava, our first hideout, is located in among the birches. The light tonal world is dream-like. The large window to the forest is like a living painting, you can enjoy the colors of the sunset and listen to the sounds of nature on the small terrace.16 m²

Päre (Shingle)
Päre is, as its name suggests, an atmospheric gray toned accommodation cabin covered with shingles. In North Karelia, in addition to roofs, shingles have also traditionally been used in the walls of buildings to protect against wind and frost.16 m²

Loimu (Glow) – glamping tent in the middle of the forest
Our high-quality glamping tent erected on the terrace offers an atmospheric camping experience without cones under your back. The tent is located further away in it’s own peace, the common room and sauna are available also for tent guests.1-3 pers

Kuohu (Froth) – a sauna cabin by the river
Kuohu is an atmospheric sauna cabin, completed in 2015, on the bank of a small river. In the noise of the rapids, you can relax in a sauna, grill or by the glow of an outdoor fire. The cabin is located along a small dirt road, in it’s own peace, separate from the accommodation village of Piilo. Snack packages and other services are also delivered to those staying in Kuohu!30 m²

Korppi – treehouse – under construction
In Karelian language, the metaphor of the soul animal in the shape of a bird is repeated. The bird takes care of the sleeper during sleep, so that the soul does not go its own way. The soul bird of Venejoki is definitely the raven, the rustling of its wings can often be heard in the quiet forest of Piilo. Korppi is a safe and dark-toned treehouse where you spend the night in the trees.16 m²

About the area
In the Piilo area, guests can use a common cabin with small kitchen equipment, a dining table, and a shared well maintained toilet building. Guests can also use an outdoor fire place and a patio in front of the common cabin. Grilling accessories and placemats can be found in the common cabin.
A self-service sauna can be booked for washing and relaxation, please book it in time when booking or when you arrive in the area.

Sauna by the pond Sydänlampi
There are no better way to relax than experience Finnish wood-heated sauna.
Please book your turn from the list in common cabin or by sending a message in advance. The sauna session is two hours, including a towel, seat covers, shampoo and shower soap. The sauna is heated independently and the facilities (water and wood) are left ready for the next user. We will help if necessary.
The sauna is available every day from 9 am to 10 pm.
Toilet
Piilo has its own toilets for men and women, as well as a separate, common hand-washing station. The toilets are insulated and lit, composting toilets. The tent site has a private outdoor toilet.DISTANCES
